WHO WE ARE
We are a private education company based in central London, just a few minutes' walk from King's Cross and Euston. We connect students from around the world with academic mentors. We're a small team of about 15 (though we have other team members working remotely around the UK and the world), and our office is a relaxed but busy place to work. We get a lot done, but we also like to enjoy ourselves too — if we hire you, you'll be expected to use your own initiative and work hard, but in reward you'll work in a friendly environment, enjoy free breakfast and a stocked kitchen every day, and enjoy staff downtime such as company meals and evenings out.

THE ROLE
We are urgently looking for a standout candidate to join our operations department primarily as a live-chat operator. Your main focus will be converting potential customers into sales by answering their questions about our service, and by providing outstanding customer support to existing customers.
Though communication will mostly be over live-chat, you'll also be supporting customers and mentors through email and over the phone too.
This position is full time until at least May 2022, after which there is potential for us to extend it into a permanent role.
-- 40 + hrs a week
-- £20,000-24,000 per annum (paid pro-rata)
-- Bonus for hitting targets
-- Office based near King's Cross
-- Must be available to start by 20th November 2021 latest
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
-- Respond to incoming emails and live customer web chats from the website in line with department procedures and service guidelines
-- Respond to customer and mentor email correspondence
-- Maximize all opportunities to help convert enquiries into deals
-- Deliver outstanding customer service on every chat to exceed customer expectations and provide the best customer experience possible
-- General administration and telephony work
-- Basic reporting duties to support the sales team
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
-- Ability to multi-task (several chats/conversations at once!)
-- A native English speaker
-- Impeccable written English skills
-- A fast typist — you need to be able to type at least 60 words per minute (you'll be tested on this)
-- Must have some experience in customer support
-- Passion to deliver exceptional service to customers
-- Must be able to work at a fast pace
-- You need to be reliable
