Metalcraft is an architectural metalwork company based in Tottenham North London. The company was established in 1960 and is a family run business employing 32 people. The company specialises in the manufacture and fitting of staircases, gates and railings, balustrading, and structural steelwork. The company has received many awards for its metalwork and prides itself on producing metalwork of outstanding quality.
We are looking to recruit a LOCAL part time Credit Controller at our office and factory in Tottenham [located very close to Seven Sisters underground station on the Victoria line], to assist our Accountant and Office Manager in a range of duties to include credit control.
The applicant should have excellent organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills. Confidence with numbers, including spreadsheets is also required and some bookkeeping experience would be an advantage. The applicant should have enthusiasm for helping our small team deliver the company’s aims and objectives. The applicant must be able to deliver tasks to an agreed timescale and have the ability to manage their own workload, as well as working as part of a team. They must be flexible as the role is varied, and may change over time.
The Credit Controller role is part time, preferably worked over 3 to 5 days Monday to Friday with a maximum of 12 hours per week. It would ideally suit someone able to work school hours, or a few hours per day say 3 to 4 hours for three days per week. We offer flexibility in working hours to suit the ideal candidate.
The main element of work is credit control where the suitable candidate will be required to work closely with the company accountant and to contact clients to ensure prompt and correct payments are received. Other duties will be the input of data into the company production software.
The Credit Controller applicant must have excellent organisational and administrative skills and able to manage their own workload effectively. They should also be able to work with numbers, including confidence with spreadsheets. They must have the ability to work with MS Outlook, Word and Excel they should have experience of working in an office and the ability to work with team, and a willingness to learn and develop in the role.
