The Egerton House Hotel's kitchen team is looking for a passionate Cook to join the team.
The Egerton House Hotel, part of the Red Carnation Hotel Collection, is a beautiful town house hotel with 28 bedrooms and a wonderful reception and dining area. This five star property is located in one of London's most prestigious areas on a quiet tree-lined street in the heart of fashionable Knightsbridge. Service, quality and luxury are the hallmarks of this boutique hotel, which epitomizes style, flair, wonderful comfort and the latest in modern amenities.
This position is suitable for an all-rounded chef looking to be responsible for all meals within the hotel, such as: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner, Afternoon Tea and the Room Service menu.
The key responsibilities of the Cook will include:
• Food purchasing within set guidelines
• Maintaining five star standards
• Maintaining food stores
• Ensuring health and safety standard are being adhered to
• Checking and monitoring food deliveries
• Preparing breakfast, afternoon tea and guests’ favourite dishes

The ideal candidate for the Cook position should:
• Have previous experience within a similar position
• Be able to work independently
• Communicate effectively in English
• Have knowledge of HACCP and food safety
• Be able to work well under pressure
• Have a friendly, flexible and professional attitude
This is a full time position with shifts between Monday to Sunday. Early shifts are 6.30am-2.30pm, Mid shift is 10.00am-6.00pm, late shift is 2.30pm-10.30pm.
