Operation: Modern Italian Restaurant Wine Bar
Location: West End
Salary: £18,000 pa
Working Hrs: 7 Shifts / 5 Days

With a state of the art open kitchen, 100 covers – menus are highly innovative showcasing modern and traditional Italian cooking supported by award winning wines and cocktails.
With extensive press and media interest (top reviews / Trip Advisor rating) – this beautifully designed venue attracts a discerning foodie crowd and also offers venue hire and external catering.
Current trading levels: 30 – 50 lunch and 60 to 100 + dinner (building from Spring onwards)
Role Description
Supporting the Head, Sous chef and team in daily smooth running of the kitchen and service – duties include:
Designated sections: good, ongoing rotation on hot / cold larder; grill and pasta
Encouraged to submit menu ideas (modern fine dining)
Stock management: receiving goods, storage and labelling, maintaining min. Food wastage levels
Due diligence files and procedures
Brigade of 8 – 10 chefs
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a challenging, professional kitchen with excellent team collaboration and working atmosphere where ideas and creativity are encouraged.
Training and development with aim to rise to Chef de partie level when ready.
Desired Attributes
This would suit an enthusiastic, hard-working junior chef who is looking to learn in a friendly, professional fine dining kitchen – given good responsibility in order to grow.
Good knowledge of current food trends; passion to work with high quality, seasonal produce supported by good organisation, communication and basic cooking skills.
Salary and Benefits
£18,000 Basic Start Salary
Working Hours: 7 shifts over 5 days (approximately. 50 hrs per week / 7 day operation)
Permanent, full time contract subject to standard 3 months probationary period: regular performance-related salary reviews; work place pension option; ongoing in-house training and development; courses as required; 28 days paid annual leave; FAM trips and staff discounts; new openings planned (meals on duty and laundered uniform)
Immediate Start available / able to accommodate notice
In accordance with the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, candidates must prove their right to work in the UK – Verification of Documentation will be undertaken as part of FCR recruitment process
