The Skylark Café is a unique café located on Wandsworth Common, South West London.
The café is situated in the heart of beautiful Wandsworth Common, with great views from its 40 + seat terrace. Inside there is seating for about 100 customers who we serve from our counter operation as well as a substantial takeaway business.
Our chefs create the majority of the cafés, cakes and cookies and all the other menu/ brunch items from scratch focusing on quality and local suppliers with the aim to provide the most exciting seasonal and delicious food in Wandsworth and beyond.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate foodie to join our team at Skylark on a part time basis for the summer ( 2 to 3 months) and to progress or gain experience in the industry outside the constraints of traditional restaurant kitchens.
You must have the following to be eligible for this role:
- You must be reliable, honest, energetic, and personable and have very high personal standards of service and presentation
- Good English and communication skills are essential to deal with colleagues and customers but also some of the daily paperwork
- A genuine interest in food and drink and passion to learn more and develop
- Be available to work most weekends and have flexibility during the week.
- Eligible to work in the UK, have a National Insurance number and UK bank account
