Fishworks is an award-winning London restaurant chain with restaurants in Marylebone and Piccadilly. We are proud of what we do and we ensure we do everything to the best of our ability - our fishmongers provide the expertise to make seafood accessible to everybody, every day; and our chefs skilfully cook our delicious menu so our guests can enjoy the best seafood served the way we believe it should be – cooked simply and in season.
You will find a wide variety of fresh fish, caught within the season, and delivered daily from our local fisheries and fisherman. We believe in supporting sustainable fishing and buy direct from locally sourced seafood such as rod and line caught Wild Sea Bass and Hand-Dived scallops from just off the coast of Dorset. Freshly caught for the freshest taste.
Our Marylebone restaurant is looking for a skilled Chef de Partie to become a key part of a committed team, who aim to ensure that our products are served at their best time and time again.
Key responsibilities:
·Working alongside fellow Line Chefs, Sous Chefs and Head Chef to support them wherever possible while learning as you go
·Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes within your specialty
·Providing guidance and sharing your knowledge with junior chefs in the team
·Monitoring portion and waste control to maintain profit margins
·Food preparation to ensure kitchen is fully set up for service
·Ensuring the highest levels of cleanliness and health and safety are kept at all times
What are We are looking for in a Fishworks Chef de Partie:
·A passion for all things food and a love of cooking
·Good chef skills, able to confidently work and manage your own section and be able to support other sections when required
·Ability to work well under pressure
·experience of working with fresh, high quality fish and seafood would be advantageous
·experience of working in a fast-paced professional kitchen environment as a Chef de Partie / Line Chef
