Chef de Partie
Up to £27,000 per annum, 5 days a week, 48 hours a week.
About Us:
XU is a stylish, upscale and refined restaurant with an exciting menu that reflects the quality of locally-sourced ingredients. The 75-cover restaurant is split over 2 floors and the restaurant interiors are a reinterpretation of a cinematic set in 1920s Taipei, Shanghai. It’s Tomato and Smoked Eel dish was voted #1 in Time Out’s Top 100 Dishes of 2022.
What you will learn
• You’ll receive a personalised development plan including a clear progression route. We value internal growth and see this an important aspect;
• We encourage staff to participate in XU’s field trips, learning and interacting with our suppliers;
• We occasionally have Sake, Wine and Beer Tastings and talks which we encourage kitchen members to join;
• Staff swaps, organised chef swaps so you can experience another restaurant in the group.
What we expect from you and the role
• Prior experience of working in a fast-paced professional kitchen as a Chef de Partie (essential);
• Knowledge of food hygiene and health and safety;
• A keen interest in Taiwanese cuisine, with a willingness to learn and develop with us;
• Attention to detail;
• Ability to manage stock levels, following HACCP procedures;
• Ability to train new and junior staff.
