Chef de Partie required for lovely restaurant in beautiful surroundings, straight shifts, no evenings, 2 out 4 weekends Great position for work life balance and great salary £17,700 per year.
Hours of work 8am – 5.30pm flexible
This position would suit somebody with at least two years’ experience in a busy catering establishment, who is looking to take their career further and expand their knowledge and skills using fresh, seasonal produce.
Aim:
To assist the Head Chef in the kitchen operation and ensure the company’s reputation for food quality is maintained at all times.
Key Tasks:
·   To work quickly and efficiently in a clean environment at all times.
·   To treat members of the team as you would expect to be treated.
·   To assist with the cooking, serving and presentation of dishes.
·   To help with food preparation under the instruction of the Head Chef.
·   To understand the dietary requirement for gluten-free, Coeliac, vegetarian or dairy-free customers.
·   To carry out stock rotation and food labelling to correct procedure.
·   Ensure the cleaning of fridges, freezers, food shelves, cooker, oven or any kitchen appliance is cleaned down to expected standard.
Key Skills required for the role:
·   A minimum of two years’ experience working with different cooking methods.
·   A minimum, level 2 in Food Hygiene
·   Competent in reading, writing and spoken English.
·   Knowledge of special diets
·   Committed to customer care and delivering first class service.
·   Adaptable, friendly, polite and courteous.
