The Gower School is a vegetarian Primary School looking to recruit a chef to work on an all year round permanent basis. experience and a relevant food hygiene qualification essential. We offer an excellent friendly working environment. Holidays are 4 weeks plus bank holidays. You will be required to work between 8:00am-5.00pm, 5 days a week. Salary will be discussed at the interview.
The ideal candidate must be passionate about cooking healthy fresh meals, for young children, also having an excellent knowledge of allergies and be able to prepare food for some children who have a range of allergies and dietary needs.
You will be supported by kitchen assistants and responsible for cleaning and maintaining high standards in the kitchen. Adhere to the Food Standards Agency regulations and be familiar with food safety and hygiene regulations. To take and record food temperatures. Complete relevant daily paperwork.
We would like you to be involved in menu planning and the budgeting of the meals. You will need to keep an accurate stock take, in order to plan the weekly food shopping for the week ahead. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. DBS checks required.
