Care Assistants Required in London

Posted: 19-02-2025
Place: North London, London

Ventry Residential Care is looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated healthcare assistants into day and/or night positions for a Residential Care Home in North London for older persons, older persons with dementia.
We care for the elderly in a residential care setting and your duties will include nutritional support, personal care, moving and handling, social activities and any other duties required to support our residents. You will build strong relationships with all those around you, making sure family and friends feel welcomed, that health care professionals are kept well-informed, and that you are keeping your team leader up to speed with residents needs and progress. As a team player, you will follow guidelines and policies and have good written skills to support residents care plans.
Along with helping our residents meet their health needs you will also help them to live a full life; to be more independent, to enjoy their daily activities, and to exercise more choice in their day-to-day living. Whether you are assisting your team leader, filling in vital paperwork, or lending someone a hand to eat their lunch, you will make all the residents you care for feel safe, comfortable and secure. In other words, you will make them feel right at home.
What we can offer you?
Competitive pay rates that are regularly reviewed to ensure we are offering the best incentives to work with us. Currently remuneration starts from £7.50 per hour, rising to £9.00 depending on experience and qualifications.
We also offer:
A £150 refer a friend scheme for care and support workers.
Both full and part time positions are available, offering you flexible hours to enable you to balance work and home life.
What we need you to have?
To join us, you will not necessarily need to have experience working with older people in residential care (although this would be ideal). You will need to be flexible, able to listen, patient, caring, organised, enthusiastic and great with people.
If you do not have it already, you will need to be willing to work towards your QCF 1-5 (NVQ 2 or 3 in Care).
Ongoing training will be provided and job advancement is available and supported along with personalised career path ladders, to ensure you enjoy fulfilling career development.
You will need to be flexible to work shifts on a Rota basis.
What you need to do?
Please forward your CV and full contact details to apply for this position.
On receipt your application will be reviewed and you will be invited for interview with a decision on your employment made thereafter.
Our passion is care and support. If you would like a meaningful career making a positive impact to the lives of those who require care and support, then please apply now!
