Personal Healthcare Assistant to Disabled Lady With two Children

PERSONAL ASSISTANT TO A PROFESSIONAL DISABLED WOMAN WITH A BABY and TODDLER
General Information: Assistance with my personal, childcare, social and domestic needs to enable me to lead an independent life. The role will also involve assisting me to care for my baby boy and daughter’s physical care needs under my direction although this is not a nanny role. When not on maternity leave it will also involve assisting me in my work environment.
Hours, Location and Pay: The personal assistant will be required to work at least one 24 hour shift per week with other hours being flexible. An ability to be flexible about hours is therefore an advantage. I live with my husband, 10 month old baby boy and 4 year old daughter in Surbiton. Rate of pay is £8.91 per hour plus holiday pay pro rats.
Personal Assistant Responsibilities: These will include assisting me (and where relevant our children) with the following:
Transferring in/out of bed (using a hoist where available);
Bathing, washing, dressing/undressing and toileting;
Lifting/feeding/dressing/changing/bathing my children
Food preparation for the family;
Using public transport and pushing a pram etc as applicable;
Washing up;
Accompanying me to social/leisure activities as appropriate including assisting me to care for my children;
Hoovering the house/dusting/cleaning//polishing;
Laundry/making bed/Ironing for the family;
Repositioning me in bed during the night and helping me to feed my children during the night as required;
Willingness and experience of lifting/manual handling necessary;
Ability to drive an advantage;
Any other reasonable task that is requested by me in order to facilitate independent living.
Personal Assistant Qualities: Should be reliable and trustworthy, a non-smoker, professional, discreet, sociable and sensitive to my role as a mother and wife, able to work on their own and with initiative as required. Previous childcare experience as well as a current CRB, essential for this role.
