To assist in the active domiciliary care provision of the business in order to provide high quality care and home support services to the elderly and those with disabilities living in the community - in accordance with the company's policies and procedures, agreed standards, legislative requirements, relevant regulations under the direction of the Registered Manager and within the financial plans agreed from time to time.
To provide care in accordance with current best practice, according to policy and procedures.
Main Duties
Provide support to older people, disabled persons and other adults who live in the community
Provide general house-keeping duties which include:
bed making and changing, laundry and ironing, dusting and vacuuming
Accompany or transport clients to appointments and activities
Assist clients to fulfil activities of daily living e.g. Working, leisure and education
Ensure client safety at all times, checking visitor ID, follow company policy and procedure with regard to risk assessments (e.g. Fire, health etc)
Provide/assist with personal care including: washing and dressing, bathing/showering and shaving
Assist clients getting in and out of bed, using appropriate equipment if required
Assist with medication, administration of eye drops, ear drops and medication patches
Skills required
An awareness of team work
Effective verbal, listen and communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
The ability to maintain strict confidentiality in performing duties
Be compassionate and understanding
Be flexible, adaptable and able to work effectively in a variety of settings
Respect cultural differences
Full training provided at no cost to you.
Salary: £7.50 to £9.10 /hour
Days/hours of work:
Mon to Friday 5pm - 10pm
Saturday and Sunday 8am - 8pm

Required experience:
Care industry - desirable but not essential: 1 year
Driving License - desirable.
