Looking for carers who can look after a child who suffers from Muscular Dystrophy. The job entails patients and adaptability. It is preferred if worker has previous training or experience in the area of personal handling (however this is not essential as we can provide training during work). During your time working with us you will be expected to get clients in and out of bed with help from fitted machinery around the house such as ceiling hoists (No lifting is needed). Clients need help doing basic day to day tasks such as; brushing teeth, using the toilet, feeding, clothing etc.
Please note: Before being offered the job you will be invited to a day (or more) of trial were you will spend 2-3 hours with the young person. (travel expenses will be covered as long as proof is provided for example, receipts). It is important that the young person is comfortable with the chosen care worker as this role is personal care. We are looking for someone who is part-time and full-time but flexible and able to commit. We need employees to be punctual, reliable and trustworthy. It is desirable if both care workers to have full UK drivers licence as trips out could be made easier.
