We have exciting opportunities for Care Assistants to join our team. We are inviting Care Assistants with a positive caring attitude to come and join our care teams in our nursing homes.
As a Care Assistant you will be working with the Registered Manager, contributing to the efficient running of the home.
We offer training, career development, competitive rates of pay plus pension and benefits.
Our teams work a 12 hour shift, three days a week with four days off, you will need to be flexible and work weekends when needed.
We are a Christian charity founded in 1904. We provide residential and nursing care for people with mental, physical and social care needs.

Summary of duties:
• Ensure that a high standard of care is provided and maintained by supporting residents in all aspects of their care and daily living, including physical, emotional and spiritual needs
• Assist in care planning demonstrating an understanding of holistic care
• Assist residents at meal times
• Knowledge of manual handling / correct use of hoists
• Follow guidelines of Sova
• Promptly answer residents call buzzer
• Build effective relationships with relatives in order to support the delivery of high quality care to residents
• Work collaboratively and as part of a team with all colleagues in order to maintain the quality of care and smooth running of the Home
• To be familiar with Gold Standard framework
Skills required
To be considered for this position you will need to have NVQ level 2 in Health and Social Care or Care Certificate, or previous experience of working in a nursing home environment with an understanding of dementia.
