Curio Cabal opened for business in Haggerston in 2013 originally to support its sister company Creative Blocks a co-working / studio space. Since then it has developed into one of the best known independent cafes in East London.
Situated just a stones throw from the regents canal, and surrounded by creative businesses and all the fantastic tenants we have working from Creative Blocks, the community we have created here provides an excellent working environment.
Curio Cabal is the heart and soul of the workspace. We are looking for someone who’s positive energy matches their willingness to work hard and go the extra mile. You will have a clear knowledge of how a cafe operates, an understanding of budgeting in relation to our ever changing turnover, cost of sales and great interpersonal skills to manage a skilful and sociable team. You’ll have a passion to provide the best service and the highest quality of offering, especially our coffee. You’ll provide creative solutions to problems that arise and take the initiative on further development of the business. Your ambitious and reliable attitude will be rewarded through-out the growth of the business.
Your basic tasks and responsibilities are;
Day to day FOH operations
Staff Rota
Staff hiring / Training
Marketing
Banking / book keeping / reconciliations
Managing repairs and maintenance
