The successful candidate would have responsibility for generating opportunities, winning business and managing our existing customers in respective area for growth and retention. The company and the products we sell across Great Britain are among the best in the UK and have an outstanding reputation.If you excel at understanding the exacting needs of Customers, regularly exceed their expectations, thrive on selling and enjoy working in a fast paced, targeted environment, then this is an exciting opportunity for you to join a dynamic team within a leading food services business.As a Trainee Business Development Manager:* This role has excellent growth opportunities and very competitive earning potential.* To manage and grow a territory of existing customers, to generate new business by selling a range of fresh, frozen and chilled meat products.* You will also be responsible for managing your own prospect database and ensuring you reach various targets whilst working in partnership with your designated Account Manager to build relationships with key personnel in the branch in order to create a team approach to achieving targets.* You will be required to have a detailed knowledge of accounts by customer and category demonstrated at monthly meetings, be responsible for trading performances and actions of accounts within your territory and be able to use this information to identify potential sales opportunities within our existing customer base. Product knowledge and sales experience would be advantageous, however all related training on products will be completed within Selfridges where we have our own butcher counter. What is required is a drive and passion to succeed with targets, sales Wallet share and to work within a fast- paced team environment.An ideal Trainee Business Development Manager will have the following skills and qualifications:The ideal candidate will have exceptional organisational skills, including planning and time management to ensure work is completed in an appropriate, and sometimes tight, time scale to the highest standard, with a keen eye for detail.As you will be customer facing and will be representing Campbell Bothers, you must have excellent interpersonal skills, be able to anticipate the needs of the customers and have the ability to negotiate and be persuasive. As you will mostly be working independently, you must be reliable and self-motivated. Computer skills, particularly Microsoft Excel, are an essential requirement for the role as you will be required to identify trends from computer generated statistics as well as creating your own databases. Your working hours will be Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm although some weekends may be required.In return for this you will receive a salary of GBP20.000 - 22,000 per annum OTE (plus uncapped bonus), 20 days + 8 Bank / Public Holiday.For an opportunity to join this expanding company please submit your CV and covering letter online.
