About Us
We are a fast growing online food and ingredients retailer, with a professional and friendly team, seeking to add a part-time Xero bookkeeper / accounts assistant to our team. We are willing to be flexible around which hours and days are worked to accommodate the right candidate.
The Role
Entering and appropriately classifying invoices on the accounting system (Xero)
Checking invoices against purchase orders and goods received notes, raising queries with the buyer or approving the invoices for payment as appropriate.
Checking supplier statements and investigating and resolving discrepancies.
Raising queries with suppliers and ensuring that credit notes etc are obtained where due.
Summarising and analysing sales data in Excel to produce consolidated daily sales and cost of sales entries and uploading them to Xero.
Monitoring credit account customer records, sending invoices and statements, chasing late payments.
Monitoring input cost changes and recording them in relevant systems.
Reconciling bank and credit card accounts.
Assisting with the production of ad-hoc reports and analysis.
This role reports directly to the Finance Director and will liaise closely with the Assistant Buyer and customer service team in day to day work.
Candidate Requirements
experience of using Xero and Excel
Good standard of written English
Superb attention to detail
A positive, can-do attitude
Candidates must have at least two years of employment history and references will be taken.

Part-time: 2 days / 15 hours per week.
£24,000 Annual salary, pro-rated
Hours and days negotiable but should be within 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.
Opportunity for paid overtime during peak trading periods.
