We’re looking to welcome a new nanny into our family to take care of our seven year old son before and after school. Our home is in Wandsworth Common/Balham and our son’s school is a short 5 minute walk from our house. We’re looking for someone to start in October when our current nanny returns to Australia.
So what would you be doing?
Drop off and collect Will from school each day (working hours 7-9am and 3.30-7.30pm term time with flexibility to increase these hours during school holidays)
Prepare fresh and nutritious meals each day.
Ensure homework is completed in a fun and engaging way.
Arrange playdates and organise after school activities.
Keep Will’s bedroom clean and tidy (with his help of course!) making sure his uniform is organised and school bag packed and ready for the next morning (we have a cleaner who does the main cleaning, washing and ironing)
Ad hoc household help e.g. Occasional food shopping, dry cleaning pick up’s etc.
We’ve been really lucky to have had some amazing nannies in the past so we know the things that really make a difference to us, this is the kind of person we’re looking for…
We have full on jobs, so it’s really important to us that we know we have someone enjoying being at home loving and caring for our son when we’re not there-no need to apply if you see this as just a job that pays the bills!
We’re not expecting you to be an experienced nanny, but being educated (ideally to degree standard) and having a genuine love for children means as the homework is getting more difficult he’ll have lots of encouragement and someone by his side (our current nanny was a nurse in Australia, no formal childcare qualifications but her experience really fitted the bill)
We’re an active, fun family but we also like to be planned, organised and tidy so we’re looking for someone who shares a similar mindset and the ability to provide Will a good routine; balancing fun as well as structure.
We’re not expecting a masterchef but you’d get enjoyment from providing Will a healthy, balanced diet.
We have a cat with personality who has also got used to having a nanny! Clayton is coming up to a year old and loves being involved in our family life! We also have some tropical fish; so non-animal lovers need not apply!
If after reading this you’d love to join our family, then please get in touch with your CV, explaining why you’d like this role. We’ll be setting up getting to know you meetings in the first two weeks of September.
