Job Responsibilities:
Delivering the best coffee, providing excellent customer service with a “nothing is too much trouble” attitude. You will understand the importance and the skill needed to deliver quality coffee in a modern workplace environment whilst supporting your manager on daily operations of your venue. You will understand our ‘Genuine’ brand standards of ‘the best people serving the best food having the most fun’ and implement them into your daily working life.
Job Duties:
Preparation and presentation of food and beverages as to specification
Serving customers to the highest standard, going above and beyond and creating strong relationships with our customers and clients
Assist customers in a warm and friendly manner and ensure their orders are taken correctly and delivered with a smile
Deal with enquiries and issues promptly and in a professional manner ensuring management are aware when a problem arises
Prepare cold drinks including fresh and blended juice drinks
Set up of the coffee shop and machine ready for opening
Taking customer orders and payments using the Genuine Tills
Clean, tidy and clear work and seating areas throughout the day, taking care of our working environment
Comply with all Health and Safety Regulations
Aid venue managers in recording stock levels as part of the weekly stocktake as well as recognising when there are stock shortages
Provide assistance to the venue manager during end of day close down processes such as cashing up
Clear and tidy external furniture within company policy
Skills, interests and qualities needed:
Previous experience in a similar role
Have at least a basic grasp of extraction of freshly ground coffee. Dialing in a recipe, cleanliness and efficiency on and around the machine. Steaming milk with correct foam levels and temperature and a basic knowledge of latte art. Grinder adjustment would be a bonus. But further training can be given.
Must have computer skills as all of our ordering and stocktaking is done through an online system and the majority of communication is through email
