Sweet Things, now 12 years old, has 2 Award Winning cake shops and cafes, located in the heart of Primrose Hill and Notting Hill. We are looking for an experienced café team member to join our expanding cafes full time including weekends. We use Monmouth coffee in both cafes and la Marzocco coffee machines.
The Sweet Things range includes all sorts of cakes, cupcakes, brownies, sourdough toasted sandwiches and more! Sweet Things is well known for high quality coffee and cakes, supplying Selfridges, delis and private Clients around London.
35-40 hours per week including weekends working across both shops. Shift hours are generally 8 or 9 hours between 7.30am and 6.30pm.
28 days holiday per year and 50% staff discount.
Minimum 6 months Barista experience required. Latte art experience preferable not essential.
This is not a pure Barista role, it also involves till work, customer service, cashing up and more. Ability to work alone and in a team is crucial. A passion for good customer service and consistent quality. Love of good cakes and coffee a must.
Applicants must be friendly, reliable and organised, good at both working in a team and alone.
The role includes:
Providing friendly customer service
Maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and cleanliness
Performing opening and closing tasks
Use of POS
