Barista and Deli assistant – Experienced.
Romeo Jones is an independent, established delicatessen, café and art space in Dulwich Village. Renowned for its commitment to quality, provenance and service, we enjoy great trade from our loyal and discerning customers.
We are now looking for a great all-rounder to join our small team on a part time basis. Some weekend working is required.
• You will have a genuine love of food, be confident handling, serving and talking about it
• Demonstrate great barista skills. We use Weanie Beans coffee, and you will rely on your senses, no pre-sets, when using our classic Astoria machine.
• Understand the fundamentals of working in a premium retail environment – keeping stock rotated and creating effective displays.
• Be happy being front of house, at the till, in the kitchen – being proactive and using your initiative to take on your next task. Not scared of rolling your sleeves up and getting Stuck into the less glamourous of tasks.
• Be calm and organised, multi-task, and have keen attention to detail
• Confidently build relationships with demanding customers and the existing team members.
• Be reliable and trustworthy – handle opening and closing, handling cash etc.
• Speak and write clearly in and confidently in English.
• Reporting to the owner / manager
