We are looking for an enthusiastic and lively Bar Supervisor/Trainee Manager to join our busy, happy team at the The Berrylands, near Surbiton.
This role is key within our business and the successful candidate will have the opportunity to progress in the management team so we need someone with talent and ambition that can bring ideas as well as drive.
The Berrylands is a busy, independent, free of tie pub serving the local community with a wide range of Beers, wines and spirits as well as excellent, fresh prepared food served all day until 10pm. We are renowned for our Sunday Roasts and being family friendly, as well as showing all live sports.
Role and Responsibilities
• Overseeing a small team of bar staff, delegating duties as required;
• Undertaking Duty Manager shifts and responsibilities;
• Serving customers and driving atmosphere;
• Maintaining standards of cleanliness and managing beginning and end of shift procedures;
• Staff management and training;
• Stock control and rotation;
• Dealing with any cellar management issues;
• Cashing up and daily banking procedures.
What are We are looking for?
• Supervisory experience;
• Bar or restaurant experience;
• Leadership ability;
• Excellent customer service and health and safety standards;
• You must be flexible in terms of working hours;
• You must be able to work some evenings and weekends;
• Passion and enthusiasm for the hospitality sector;
• The drive to become an assistant or deputy manager in the longer term;
• Social media experience is advantageous but not essential.
