We’re a relaxed, creative family living in Stoke Newington, in vibrant Hackney in London. We’re looking for a fun, confident, caring au pair to share looking after our 6 year old son and 4 year old daughter.
Both Mum and Dad are Producer / Directors who work in TV.
We live in Stoke Newington which is a leftwing, artistic community in central London. The area has lots of cafes, parks and things to do but we are also only a 30 minute bus ride from most tourist attractions.
Our 6 year old son is gentle, calm and affectionate. He’s into everything and everybody but particularly likes football, animals and science. He’s in school from 9-3.30 Mon- Friday.
Our 4 year old daughter is confident and outgoing and loves dressing up and role play. They are close and get on very well (most of the time!). She is starting school in September and will also be at school from 9-3.30.
We’d like our au pair to be adventurous in taking the kids to all that the local area has to offer – parks, swimming, music groups, library and so on. While also organising fun things to do at home such as baking, play dates and arts and crafts. There are lots of other au pairs in the area to hang out with.
Our spacious modern house has a lovely double bedroom with its own en-suite with shower, on a different floor to the rest of the family. You will have your own TV, internet access etc.
The important stuff:
- The hours will be Monday-Friday 8.30-9.00 am and 3.30-7.00 pm with very occasional babysitting.
- We have 2 cats so this wouldn’t suit someone with allergies
- Non-smoker
We have a cleaner who comes for 3 hours once a week but we would expect our au pair to help keep the house tidy, empty the dishwasher and do the kids laundry.
