We are looking for a talented Assistant Manager to become involved in all aspects of our inspiring and growing small business. Working closely with the Business Owner, the successful candidate would be responsible for the smooth running of the shop and website and the delivery of exceptional customer service to both in-store and online customers.
Reporting to the Business Owner, responsibilities include:
Managing the website and social media content,
Overseeing service to in-store customers and following up on orders and queries,
Ensuring prompt and accurate despatch of online orders,
Stock control and ordering of certain ongoing lines,
Organising staff rotas and overseeing related record keeping,
Ensuring accurate performance of daily accounting checks and resolving any differences.
The successful candidate :
This would be an excellent first position for a new graduate looking to gain management and broad business experience.
This a busy and varied role; you will need to be an ‘all-rounder’, happy and able to turn your hand to anything.
The successful candidate will also be / have:
- An interest in interiors and homewares
- Proven track record in similar role or can otherwise demonstrate excellent organisation skills and ability to work well within a team,
- Computer literate, familiar with a range of common software, and an active social media user.
- A quick learner with excellent attention to detail and a positive 'can-do' attitude.
- Outgoing, well-presented, punctual and reliable,
- Fluent written and spoken English.
