An award winning, food focused Gastro Pub is looking for Assistant General Managers. The Group focuses on serving high quality food and drink in a relaxed atmosphere, providing excellent customer service.
The role
An assistant general manager role with a focus on the floor. You will be responsible for the overall running of the pub in the absence of the GM. Your responsibilities include running shift, managing a team of up to 15 members of staff, stock taking, financial reporting, staff training and compliance. Most of all you will be building and maintaining good relationships with your customers and be a great host.
The ideal candidate
Will have excellent communication and customer service skills with a strong but friendly presence on the floor. You will have good knowledge of cellar management, drinks and food, with an ambition to develop and progress into a GM role in future. Management experience in fresh food environments is essential and previous Gastro Pub experience is beneficial. You will be a team worker and manage by example, we are looking for leaders, not bosses.
Also beneficial are: WSET and cellar management qualifications as well as a personal license. Training in food hygiene and health and safety at level 2 are essential

You will be expected to work 48 per week over 5 days, with 2 days off
