About Peint:
Peint is an award winning nail and beauty salon that opened in 2014 on the vibrant river-hugging area of Vauxhall. We are now seeking a dynamic and ambitious Salon Manger to lead a team of creative and talented nail technicians and beauty therapists.
Basic Requirements:
NVQ Level 3 in Beauty Therapy
At least 5 years experience as a Therapist
At least 2 years experience as a Manager
Strong business acumen and able to work to targets
Ability to take charge of the salon and Front of House
Therapist requirements:
Whilst this is NOT a therapist role, we would expect the successful candidate to be able to step into cover the occasional treatments when there is unexpected staff sickness or the need occurs.
We would ask that you have the ability to perform a number of beauty treatments; waxing, facials, manicures and eyelash extensions should the salon require it in an emergency
Ensure the standard of treatments remains of the highest regard with clients, making sure the team are always delivering the very highest standards of treatment
Deliver training and mentor the team where necessary to be in line with PEINT standards. You will set these high standards and ensure quality control.
Managerial requirements:
Familiarity with MS Word, Outlook and good computer literacy
Meeting performance targets for the salon
Motivating staff to meet weekly and monthly performance targets
Stock management and re-ordering within a budget
Basic financial reporting to the salon owners weekly
Familiarity with running team meeting
Staff Human Resources management; team rotas, holidays, absence, sickness and confidence and ability to deliver a disciplinary or appraisals to set KPIs.
Ability to work with the Salon Owner to work on marketing initiatives and track their progress within the salon
Ensure reception and salon is staffed at all times to the appropriate level
Take care and run Front of House for a few days a week
Assist with payroll and invoicing contractor staff
Ability to deal with client comments, queries and complaints
Personal Skills:
Friendly and positive
Excellent leadership, motivational and organisational skills
Strong passion for the beauty industry
Exemplary in following salon policies and procedures as well as making sure the team follow your example with accountability to yourself
Ability to mentor, motivate and develop staff
Take ownership of the salon and your team and ensure all clients receive 5 star customer service
The job:
The salon is open Monday - Saturday and requires flexibility to work 42 hours per week. This will include weekends and evenings.
You would be required to be flexible to cover staff sickness and holidays for Front of House, (included in the weekly 42 hours).
HOLIDAY: 22 days
Training and development given
Bonus incentive set after successful completion of probation, dependent on salon performance
The successful candidate with be someone that will be skilled and confident enough to take control of a warm and friendly creative beauty team and Front of House. They will run the salon like their own and be passionate about driving it forward and working closely with the Salon Owner and team to achieve this. Client customer service and salon performance will be at the core of your role.

Salary: £23,000 - £25,000.00 /year dependent on experience
