The Role:
We have an opportunity for a trainee/ apprentice estimator. We are a specialist construction company based in SW London and are looking to expand our small team.
We are excited to invest in you giving you the support, experience and knowledge to teach you everything you need to know in the role as well as strength your existing skill set.
We are based in SW11, and ideally seek a candidate who is less than 45 minutes travel away, this is a Mon-Fri 9 am -5 pm. Initially you will be on a short term contract but the right candidate will convert this into a full time Paye position.
Immediate start available, or we will wait for the right candidate.
Who are you?
We are looking for a highly articulate individual, who is looking to get into estimating / surveying in the specialist roofing arena. Full training will be given with our software and systems.
Ideally, a school or college Leaver with strong qualifications in maths, technical drawing and design technology, or an experienced estimator in the general construction arena.
Skills and requirements.
Be able to read architects drawings and have a general understanding of 2D construction drawings.
Be computer literate and able to work with general Microsoft Office suite
The ability to learn specialist take off software, to measure, mark up and annotate drawings.
Be a confident communicator, and able to liaise with clients who range from general construction companies to senior architects.
