We are a warm and happy family looking for a live-out, after-school housekeeper/mother’s help/nanny from September to help with our two young daughters, aged 3 and 5, and some light housekeeping. The role is for 3 or 4 days a week (depending on our arrangement) between approximately 3:30pm and 6:30pm.
You’ll ideally have a driving license and your own car so you can sometimes fetch our oldest daughter from school in Hampstead.
Duties

Prepare, supervise and clean up after the girls’ dinner.
Leave the kitchen/downstairs area really clean and tidy at the end of the day.
Give the girls a bath and get them ready for bed.
Ensure the girls’ bedrooms are tidy at the end of the day.
Light housework e.g. Emptying the drying rack and ironing.
Where relevant do an activity with one or both girls (e.g. Play at home, take to the park, supervise homework)
Ideally, if you have a car, pick up our oldest daughter from school by car and bring her home or to an after-school class.

We’re looking for someone who…

Has experience of working with young children.
Has a genuine love of children and natural way with them (even when they’re tired and a bit grumpy at the end of the day!)
Is really tidy and clean
Is professional, very efficient and reliable – gets the job done without fuss.
Has a really happy and positive approach to life – someone who will fit well into our happy home and bring positive energy to our children and household.
Is kind, patient, easygoing, trustworthy, hardworking and calm.
Has an ability to nurture the girls and engage them in interesting activities like board games, art and crafts, books.

You must also

Be a non-smoker
Be fluent in English
Not be glued to a mobile phone
Have contactable references
Have a VISA or right to work in the UK
Ideally have a DRB check
Be in London and able to meet for a face-to-face interview.
Be able to commit for a minimum of 1 year.  Ideally, we are looking for a long-term relationship, someone who can become part of our family and with whom the girls can grow.
