We are an easy going American family living in Cricklewood NW2 and would like to find after school childcare help for our 8 year old son who goes to primary school at Regents Park. The role would entail school pick-ups (around 3.50) four days a week and after school care until around 6.30 or so when we come home from work. Generally 10 – 12 hours per week.
Days: Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri (with flexibility depending on which days you can work)
Hours and role:
3.50 School pick up for son in Regents park (near the zoo)
2-3 Days a week, on way home, pick up daughter at Finchley Road Tube (her school is across the street but she can meet you there)
Bring them home by bus/tube or car if you drive (off Cricklewood Lane near the Virgin Active Club), help with homework / make snacks, prepare simple meals.
Stay until around 6.30 pm when we come home.
Half terms – additional hours will be available if mutually agreeable!
Hourly rate is negotiable, range of £12-£15 ph depending on your experience.
About the kids and the role:
Our 8 year old son is good natured and friendly. He is very inquisitive and interested in obscure facts, will ask you a lot of questions that have no answers! His route home is typically to take the 274 bus from Gloucester Avenue in Regents Park to the Lords Cricket Ground where you change for bus 31 to Finchley Road. Our 11 year old daughter is very responsible, loves to read and likes science. She can take herself home but prefers company. We meet her at Finchley Road and come home together by tube, bus or car.
About you:
We are looking for someone who loves kids and enjoys being with them. We would love it if you were out going and cheerful and were the type who could take an interest in our children’s day and took an interest in her school work and development.
We require that you have a recent DBS check and health and first aid training.
In addition, all the other lovely things about you will be: honestly and trustworthiness, we would consider you a part of the family.
We don’t mind if you are not from the UK, but it would be great if you spoke proper English (not like the Queen or anything but with good grammar as our kids will repeat anything you say!)
Thanks for your interest and we are looking forward to meeting you!
Start date would be April.
