ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT
to join our Accounts team.
Accounts Assistant overview:
In this role, you will be a key member of the Accounts Team, reporting to the Cluster Financial Controller. You will be assisting in the efficient running of the finance functions within the cluster properties.
Accounts Assistant Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Cluster Financial Controller /Accounts Managers in ensuring that profitability is optimised within the business.
• To ensure effective and timely communication of business performance and opportunities to all levels of management within the organization`s processes and timelines.
• To ensure that all banking transactions are processed and cleared in a timely manner.
• To ensure the weekly and monthly deadliness are processed within the timelines and ensure all appropriate signatures are on relevant documentation in line with company policy while maintaining confidentiality.
• To participate in the month end accounts processes in conjunction with central services, as per company policies and procedures, ensuring preparation of accurate and timely financial reports.
• To assist with the preparation of the monthly balance sheet reconciliations held at property level.
• To assist in the preparation of forecasts and budgets in conjunction with the Cluster Financial Controller of each cluster property.
• To assist with the valuation of stock takes within the cluster
• To supervise the AP and Income Audit functions, within the cluster hub and satellite properties.
The ideal candidate for this position:
• Educated to degree level or equivalent or qualified by at least 1 years experience in a similar role.
• Have an excellent level of business English.
• Have excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
• Be able to demonstrate an understanding and interpretation of financial reports.
• Have excellent attention to detail, organised and can work to strict deadlines.
• Have experience in team development.
• Have commercial understanding and business.
• Have proven competence in the use of accounting and PMS systems.
• Possess very good IT skills in Office applications.
• experience of OnQ, Micros and SAP.
• experience of dealing with budgets and forecasts.
• Be flexible regarding travel and work hours, with a possibility of overnight stay.
• Will have a good understanding of the hospitality industry.
