Full Time Accounts Assistant Needed

A Full time/Part time Accounts assistant vacancy has arisen in a fast growing company. We are considering both full time or part time applicants for this position. The job role includes the following:

• Posting sales and purchase invoices in Sage Accounts 50 software.
• Posting bank receipts and payments into Sage Accounts 50
• Reconciling bank statements for VAT purposes.
• Preparing VAT returns, (EC Sales lists returns and Intrastat reporting)
• Controlling credit and chasing debt
• Answering phone calls and customer email enquiries.
• Managing petty cash transactions
• Managing staff attendence and overtime schedule.

The ideal candidate will have experience using Sage Accounts 50, some solid all round accounts experience with double entry exposure, strong purchase ledger and reconciliations experience as well as good systems, organisational and communicational skills. Knowledge of the carpet/rugs industry would be useful but not essential. This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy stable business and a friendly team environment.
