Accounting Apprentice Required

As an accounting apprentice, you will be supporting our finance team delivering our services to a portfolio of diverse clients in England. You will gain experience in transaction processing, a number of different cloud based accounting systems as part of your apprenticeship. You will work towards a professional qualification which will go hand in hand with your day to day role.

Entry requirements:
Ideally will have at least a B in Maths but A* - C (or 5-9) in both English and Maths is vital. Ideally, we are looking for recent school leavers and non-graduates for the role.
This is an Accounting AAT level 3 Standard apprenticeship with White Hat.
Location: nearest station is Old Street underground, London.You will have responsibility for:
1. Using cloud accounting systems (Xero, Quick Books, Sage One/Live) to maintain accurate records for a portfolio of clients
2. Performing bank reconciliations, processing receipts and payments
3. Preparing VAT returns for a portfolio of clients prior to review
4. Preparing suggested payment run files for client approval
5. Preparing monthly payroll changes and communicating with our payroll team for a portfolio of clients
6. Completing period end close activities including the relevant month end adjustments i.e. Prepayments, accruals and journals
7. Preparing the monthly accounts including standard reporting from the accounting system
8. Supporting our finance managers with monthly and quarterly reporting including account closing procedures
9. Ad-hoc support for finance managers and business advisors as required

Hours are 9am to 5:30pm, Mon-Fri
