We are a online retailer based in Chingford/Walthamstow who are looking to add a CASUAL member of staff to our Warehouse operation.
IMPORTANT NOTE: This role is Temporary and Zero Hours. You will be notified of shifts available at the beginning of each week. You can then choose to accept or decline the available shifts.
As you would expect in a warehouse environment occasional lifting will be involved.
Ideally you should live local to Walthamstow/Chingford and be able to work at fairly short notice.
Previous experience is not necessary, although advantageous. Attention to detail and a positive attitude is essential. The pay for this position is £8 p/h. The office hours are 9am-5pm Monday-Friday. So please ensure these times are generally fine for you before applying
The successful candidates must have good attention to detail. There will be a maths test at the interview.
Responsibilities will include the following:
Main duties include:
Quality Control/Packaging:
-Checking and inspecting goods to ensure they meet the required standard for dispatch.
-Packaging and preparing a large volume of items to be shipped.
- Assembling products or packaging.
Goods Out:
picking stock efficiently and accurately
- Packing orders in a competent manner so to ensure the customer receives their goods in a well presented and satisfactory condition.
- Using our computer system to process and ship goods.
- Loading deliveries on to van.
Goods In:
-Receiving of goods and unloading of vehicles on to shelves.
-Replenishing shelves
Warehouse maintenance:
- Tidying and general maintenance of the warehouse floor,
- Stock inventory and organisation under the management of warehouse managers
• Using Company's system to look up orders
• Some paperwork/general office duties.
• Preparing dispatch documents
• Assist with organisation of the sales delivery program
Please note:
This is a zero hours position, you are not obligated to work any hours given, and we (the company) are not obligated to provide you with work. There will be weeks where work is very minimal, and some weeks were you will be working 30-40 hours.
