Workday Data Lead
London
£450 - £550 per annum
The successful candidate will work with Absence, Recruitment, HCM and Payroll data and extracts from other Non-automated payroll and information systems to ensure that critical Human Resources information is hosted in the right way in Workday. In addition, will complete the data preparation and migration activities and ensure that the right data is made available at the right time in Workday, based on overall project requirements.
The Data Lead will need to create strong relationships with multiple teams including functional and technical teams, architects, both within the organisation and the SI partner.
The Data Lead must have experience of working in Project Teams.
Expected Outputs would be:
* Key data extracts and fields from legacy systems
* Data formatting meeting data architect standards within the business
* Validated and Cleansed data extracts
* Updated Configuration and Employee Data where appropriate
* Strategy - Able to describe the approach used for data for the project team and Human Resources community
* Extraction - Able to articulate and perform data extraction from various systems, be that automated through tools or manual extraction from excel data sheets
* Transformation - able to manipulate the data into a suitable format for passing to the SI for loading into the Tenant
* Validation - Able to Plan and formulate and help validate the data gathered and ensure its quality wherever possible.
* Cleansing - Able to plan and format data to not only cleanse the data from Nulls etc. But to enrich the data wherever possible and conform to workdays standards wherever possible.
* Configuration - provide Workday expertise during the process design and configuration phase; oversee and sign off the overall data model in Workday
* Integration - provide experience-based functional data guidance to the IT and SI teams to assist with interface design and data mapping aspects
* Data Privacy - ensure that the implemented solutions meet compliance and data privacy requirements
* Follow PMO processes and produce required project artefacts and reports related to the Data workstream
Key Result Areas
Complete an analysis of current Human Resources Data incorporating location and condition.
Complete a Gap Analysis between the current available data and that required to ensure a complete landscape of data for input into the Workday system.
Working with Human Resources , Project Stakeholders, the Implementation Partner and Vendors to ensure that any gaps in data are closed and that a process is in place to ensure data is up to date
Ensure and implement a maintenance strategy to improve and condition data throughout the life of the project, such that during Go-Live the quality is of the highest standard and of the most up to date data available.
Own, track and resolve Data Issues, escalating these to line management as and when needed.
Ensure all data processes are documented clearly and maintained and logged correctly within the project SharePoint or iMeet where needed.
Build and maintain relationships with regional Human Resources project members to ensure data requirements are understood and timely delivery of that data is managed.
Maintain and develop relationship with the project team and Data Analyst to ensure risk is managed such that the loss of any one team member would not impact the progress of the project.
Operating Environment
The role plays one of the most pivotal in the project and methodology being applied. The ability to manage complex data requirements, the conditioning of that data and providing that data to the Implementation Partner Build Teams will prove pivotal in the success of the project.
The role also requires the person to be cognisant of the Business Glossary and the Data Standards currently in place. Adhering to these standards where possible, and applying for exception, inclusion or change where needed to ensure all data is captured within the process.
Should have sight of GDPR and appreciate the potential impact this may have to data and be prepared to work with this team to identify data types and their criteria for processing and longevity.
Key Competencies (Job specific)
* Proven experience of delivering Workday projects
* experience of working with the Human Resources function
* Demonstrable Human Resources business analyst or data architecture experience
* Identify and analyse data needs, touch points and requirements across Workday Core HCM, Recruiting, Payroll and/or Absence functional areas
* Significant experience in managing diverse stakeholder group with differing requirements
* experience in data prototyping processes in Human Resources system change/transformation
* Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
