Wombats Hostel London is hiring barkeepers (part time positions)
The Position
We are hiring bar staff to pour drinks and animate customers at our basement bar just east of the City of London. The versatile space is open only to hostel guests and includes an outdoor terrace area and a large indoor bar. We cater to a wide range of local travellers and far-away backpackers.
Responsibilities
Pouring drinks – tap beer/cocktails/wines
Interacting with and animating hostel guests
Keeping a clean and organized workspace during the shift
Keeping the bar area and terrace neat and tidy
Controlling lights and music to create an appropriate atmosphere
Thorough cleaning of the bar and work areas at the end of shift
Nightly cash-up and stock control
Communicating any issues to management promptly
Personal Qualifications and Qualities
Personable with excellent customer service skills
Hard-working, responsible and fun!
Flexible schedule – must be able to work evenings and weekends
Previous experience in a hospitality setting is preferred
This is a part-time position offering 2-3 shifts per week
Salary: 8.19 GBP gross/per hour
