Based in a beautiful part of London, just 2 minutes walk from Hyde Park, and close to the V and A and the Natural History Museum, the Gloucester Road Oxfam shop is one of the busiest charity shops in London. Our aim is to fight poverty all around the world by raising as much money as possible by selling donated items.
You will need to volunteer with us for at least one day during weekend, Saturday or Sunday , for a minimum of 3 weeks. We are open from 10-18 on Saturdays and 12-17 on Sundays.
This role will involve:
- Sorting donations
- Pricing the items
- Researching rare and/or expensive items in order to price them accurately.
- Providing polite and friendly service to the customers to increase their satisfaction and make them come back to Oxfam
- Operating the till
No previous experience is needed, so don’t be afraid to apply. If you are successful, full training will be given. So if you are keen on or would like to learn more charity work or fashion, then this opportunity is for you.
This opportunity will allow you to:
- Train and operate as an Oxfam Volunteer
- Gain retail experience
- Become a part of an international team committed to fighting poverty
Lunch costs and reasonable travel expenses can be reimbursed in line with Oxfam policies.
