Weekend Manager Required in London

Posted: Today
Place: Kilburn, London

We are looking for a reliable and experienced weekend Manger for 33 hours a week, over 4 days, Thursday to Sunday. A great opportunity to join an exciting and innovative organisation. This is for an IMMEDIATE START. Lots of support and training provided.
We are a unique social enterprise called The Sherriff Centre, based in St James Church in West Hampstead, NW6. Within the fully functioning church is West Hampstead’s Post Office, The Sanctuary Café, Hullabaloo children’s soft play and Icon gift shop. Hullabaloo also run’s children’s parties at the weekend, an important part of our operation. All business elements operate as one, and are run and managed by a centre manager and management team.
All of our profits go to our charity, also called The Sherriff Centre, which runs a debt advice service, this is not operational at the weekend and not part of this post’s remit.
This role is for 33 hours per week from Thursday to Sunday. The post holder will work across the entire organisation to bring continuity and consistency to parts of the business that are co dependant, specifically the café and the soft play parties.
Thursday and Friday you will act as deputy to the café manager, this is a hands on role, preparing for the weekend trade, serving customers and liaising with the café manager.
On Saturday and Sunday you will have a floating role as you will have overall responsibility for the centre, liaising with each section manager or supervisor and directly overseeing Hullabaloo, the children’s soft play, and parties.
The post holder is not expected to work within or manage the Post Office, due to the very specific nature of this work. There will always be a supervisor or manager for the Post Office on site during opening hours.
We are looking for someone who can make sensible decisions, remain calm under pressure, who is great with people and who can motivate a team and lead but who is also prepared to be hands on and help out where needed. You need to be energetic, positive, upbeat and physically able to set up and put away equipment, as this is at times required.
If you feel you fit our person specification, have bags of common sense and are extremely reliable then we would love to hear from you.
