Web Developer - Magento, PHP, MySQL, JS, HTML5, CSS3
Online Fashion Company based close to East London is looking for a web developer with at least 2-3 years commercial experience to join our team.
The role requires the web developer to work on cutting edge projects and you will be proficient in the use of PHP, MySQL, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Json and Jquery. Focusing on the development of the e-commerce portfolio and working closely with the senior management team, this new role will also require the creation of internal systems and processes needed to design, test and deploy new sites and applications, allowing the company to develop new and existing business and staying ahead in a competitive marketplace.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
• To take complete ownership of the e-commerce websites including the design, maintenance and optimisation of their Magento 2 and Net Suite sites.
• Ensure the sites remain live and accessible 24/7
• Management of hosting services, security certificates and working with service providers where required to ensure their sites and servers remain patched and secure
• Development of internal systems, processes and documentation required to support the complete management of the company's web presence
• Liaising with the senior management team to discuss and suggest new features and applications, and developing these ideas into useable solutions
• Constant development and review of the existing websites to ensure ease of use for their customers and staff
• Design and development of new eCommerce sites to enable the company to take advantage of new opportunities and markets
• Liaising with external agencies as required
• New site development for continued e-commerce expansion.
Essential Skills:
• Strong Knowledge in PHP, Java Script, HTML5, CSS3, Jquery, Json request skills etc.
• Magento development experience including extension installation and customisation by following best practice
• experience interacting directly with MySQL
• Cross domain parameters exchange
• Extensive front end and back end web development experience
• Excellent organisation, time-management and documentation skills
• Strong, positive team player with good problem-solving skills
• Onsite SEO tasks for clients
• PhotoShop/Illustrator chops
Desirable:
• Knowledge of Server installation and configuration Nginx / Apache
• A working knowledge of Git
• An understanding of full stack web development
• Front end dev tools (Grunt, Gulp etc)
• Knowledge of caching backends (Redis, Memcached etc)
• Magento Developer Certification
• API – Working Knowledge on API integration
• A university degree in a computing/science related subject.
