123T is a South Wimbledon-based manufacturer and retailer of funny and branded clothing sold through online outlets such as Amazon, eBay, Wish, Etsy, etc. We're a Top 100 seller on Amazon and because we're ramping-up for the busy Christmas period, we have numerous temporary positions open for a number of enthusiastic, reliable and above-all-else hard-working heat press operators, warehouse pickers and packers.
Heat pressing
This role will require the successful candidates to manually press pre-printed transfer designs onto merchandise such as t-Shirts, hoodies, sweatshirts, caps and more. Previous pressing experience would be a massive advantage although not a deal-breaker as training will be provided. But you'll need to be physically fit and fast enough to keep up with our one-day despatch turnaround. A very high attention to detail and sharp focus on quality and accuracy are also a must.
Pickers
This position will require you to source stock from the warehouse according to customers' orders and then prepare them for the pressing department. The successful applicants will need to possess good literacy and numerical skills and will ideally have previous warehouse experience. And because this is at the very start of the production line, attention to detail and accuracy are essential qualities that we're looking for. Once again, you'll need to be fit enough to lift boxes of merchandise, climb ladders and run around for eight hours a day in a high-pressure environment.
Packers
Packing and preparing items for postage and collection by courier/Royal Mail on a twice-daily basis, our despatch department is the last line of defence in our production process. Hence it will be your responsibility to ensure that customers' orders are not only sent out as per their order forms but also to maintain our strict quality control procedures and keep accurate postal records. Although speed is of the essence in packing, it's important you have a keen eye for detail and high levels of concentration.
Only candidates who are fluent in English (verbal and written) will be considered for the above roles, as you will need to distinguish between many different typographic designs from a range of more than 3,000 individual products. (Overseas applicants must have a valid working visa.)
If you stand out during this November-December 2021 timeframe, you will be considered for a permanent position going forward into 2022 (we have previously retained 15-20% of Christmas temps). All we ask is that your turn up on time, you work hard - whether on your own or part of a team - and you adhere to our stringent performance and quality control targets. And for that we'll pay you £8/hr for a 40-hour week (Monday-Friday). Please note, on the run-up to Christmas, we will also be operating two shifts (7am-3pm and 3pm-10pm). Applicants who wants loads of overtime and extra cash for Christmas won’t be disappointed!
