Role summary:
The main duties will include, but are not limited to overseeing the safe receipt, storage, retrieval and timely dispatch of goods. They will ensure workplace health and safety requirements are met and take responsibility for the security of the building and stock. Processing invoices and consolidating the orders for picking and packing.
Duties and Responsibility:
• Basic invoice processing
• Picking and packing goods
• Plan, coordinate and monitor the receipt, order, and dispatch of goods
• Motivate, organise and encourage teamwork within the workforce to ensure productivity targets are met or exceeded
• To load and unload gods from delivery vans and/or lorries
• To keep an up-to-date accurate record of any damaged, missing or faulty goods
• Responsible for moving the goods to the correct areas in the warehouse, either manually or using mechanical equipment and to ensure that all goods are correctly labelled
• Rotating and replenishing stock
• Accurately complete the Shift Handover report and brief the Warehouse Manager
• Communicating well with other departments, staff groups and customers
• Daily and monthly stock counts
• Ensuring quality and delivery objectives are met
• Guarantee delivery vehicles are loaded and out on time
• Delivering and fulfilling objectives and directions from Operation Manager
• Ensuring the health, safety, cleanliness and security of the work environment
• Any other duties as required
Qualifications and Skills:
Must be IT literate and familiar with Windows, Excel and Word
Solid warehouse experience
experience of supervising a team
Good logic and common sense
Good work ethic and team driven
Good spoken English, can read and write English
Fork lift licence essential
Salary £21,000 - £24 000 depending on experience and skills.
