We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to work part time at Hot Squash. We are a small, friendly online retailer in women’s fashion operating out of Barnet, North London. The company is rapidly growing and needs assistance in picking, packaging, and general warehouse/administration duties.
1 full day a week and 3 half days a week (total of 17.5 hours a week) but we might be flexible to allow 4 half days a week (must work Monday Mornings)
Work full day Monday (7 hours excluding lunch) and half day Tuesday/Thursday/Friday (3.5 hours)
Must live locally (within 4 miles).
98 hours holiday per year (including Bank Holiday’s)
Pay £7.50 a hour.
Warehouse Duties:
Picking stock for customer orders, wholesale orders or third party concession stock.
Packing orders into envelopes or boxes with correct paperwork.
Stock counting
Checking deliveries and garment/fabric stock (some ‘heavy-lifting’).
Adhering to Royal Mail or Parcelforce instructions for packages.
Ensuring the orders are going correctly to the right address.
Steaming, reprocessing and barcoding return garments.
Ensuring the warehouse area is organised, hazard-free and tidy at all times.
Using online systems to print and process orders.
Using a barcoding machine to print barcodes.
Dealing with Wholesale orders and administration.
Help Administrators where required
Person Specification:
Hard working, punctual and enthusiastic.
Ability to remain focused and accurate.
Good communication skills.
Intermediate computer skills to print orders and for general administration (good IT skills a plus)
NOTE: THERE WILL BE A WORK TRIAL DAY WHICH WILL LAST 1 DAY AND IT WILL BE UNPAID. ONLY TRAVEL EXPENSES WILL BE PAID ACCORDING TO DISTANCE.
Other information:
The role has pro-Rota 28 days off a year (including 8 Bank Holiday’s). Pro-Rota this is 98 hours holiday a year (including Bank Holidays).
An additional 2 to 4 days a year over weekends during busy periods (day off in lieu).
As the company grows, there is potential for additional hours, job roles or pay changes in future years.
