A vacancy has arisen for an experienced, dedicated and hardworking Warehouse Operative to participate in running the efficient operation of an established logistics company.
Responsibilities
Comply with all Health, Safety and Security Regulations as outlined in the employee’s hand book.
Work with a team to meet deadlines, work productively, and take initiatives to ensure the best service is provided to both internal and external customers.
Help to promote an environment where trust, open communication and team spirit thrive.
Lead by setting a good example for the team to follow.
Ensure all standard operating procedures are adhered to.
Ensure all jobs/tasks are carried out to the required standard as outlined by the management team.
Keep the management team informed of potential and ongoing issues and assist in resolving these issues.
Undertake any task which can be reasonably asked by a Team Leader as required by the operation.
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained as outlined by the management team.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with all members of staff.
The ideal candidate
Working knowledge of Health and Safety
A minimum of 1 year experience in a warehouse.
A minimum of 1 year experience working within a high pressured environment is essential.
Intermediate PC skills
Responsive to the needs of the business
Flexible and responsible
Counter balance forklift licence would be a bonus but not compulsory.
Additional Information
This is a 24/7 operation. Normal working hours are from 9:30 – 18:00, 11:30 - 20:00, 12:30 - 21:30, night shift 20:00-4:30 and 21:30-6:00
Warehouse Operations Senior Supervisor

Annual Salary £25-28k depending on experience.
Position overview
A vacancy has arisen for an experienced, dedicated and hardworking warehouse Senior Supervisor to support the operations manager in running the efficient operation of an established logistics company.
Responsibilities
Hands on role requiring a positive approach to all required tasks.
Comply with all Health, Safety and Security Regulations as outlined in the employee’s hand book.
Motivate the team to meet deadlines, work productively, and take initiatives to ensure the best service is provided to both internal and external customers.
Help to promote an environment where trust, open communication and team spirit thrive.
Lead by setting a good example for the team to follow.
Ensure all standard operating procedures are adhered to.
Ensure all jobs/tasks are carried out to the required standard as outlined by the management team.
Coordinate, attend and lead regular team briefings.
Train team members, monitor performance and provide further training where necessary.
Allocate jobs and workloads and manage the distribution of staff to ensure all areas of the warehouse are sufficiently resourced.
Liaise with the transport department to keep up to date with issues that may affect the smooth running of the operation and work with them to resolve these issues.
Act as cover in the transport office when necessary.
Keep the management team informed of potential and ongoing issues and assist in resolving these issues.
Attend any relevant training sessions to ensure you are fully equipped to perform your duties effectively and attend management meetings as required.
Ensure all reported grievances are referred to the relevant parties.
Ensure all damages to company’s property and their customers’ are correctly logged and reported to the management team.
Undertake any task which can be reasonably asked of a team Leader as required by the operation.
Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained as outlined by the management team.
Develop and maintain good working relationships with all members of staff.
Complete written and verbal handovers at the end of each shift.
The ideal candidate
Working knowledge of Health and Safety
A minimum of 1 year experience in a supervisory role is required.
A minimum of 1 year experience working within a high pressured environment is essential.
Excellent interpersonal skills will be ideal as the role requires a certain degree of contact with both internal and external clients.
Excellent communication skills are essential. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate confidently and clearly in writing, via telephone or in person.
The ability to handle and resolve queries with all levels of staff.
Intermediate PC skills
Responsive to the needs of the business
Counter balance forklift licence would be a bonus but not compulsory.
The ability to oversee the team give clear instructions and complete basic investigatory processes where required.
A firm but fair approach to managing staff.
Additional Information
This is a 24/7 operation. Working shift hours are from 09:30 – 18:00 / 11:30 – 20:00 /
12:30 – 21:00
We offer a guaranteed 40 hrs per week over 5 days Monday through Sunday. Rest days are incorporated within the shift pattern. You will be required to work on a shift pattern of working one day over a weekend, every other weekend.
31 Days annual leave including Bank Holidays.
