Key Areas of Responsibility:
• The position will be full time with standard working hours of 0900 – 1700. Flexibility required at times.
• Managing material and equipment, including inspecting PPE, calibrating tools, PAT testing of power tools.
• Managing the online based inventory software, including tool/equipment registering based on company policy.
• Purchase management (tools and materials, planning based on usage and shelf life)
• Tracking of usages on sites.
• Waste management (chemical/general/recyclable).
• COSHH (Control of Substances that are Hazardous to Health).
• Managing all types of shipping (from/to the company/sites/customers).
• Vehicle management, including loading and offloading service vans.
• General and special cleaning duties in the warehouse/training areas.
• Other general warehouse duties (goods in, goods out, stock control, stock take, etc.).
Requirements:
• Candidates must live in the local area.
• Candidates must be willing to come into the warehouse on weekends in case of operational emergencies.
• Candidates must hold a valid and clean driving license.
• Candidates must be willing to undergo equipment inspection training.
• Candidates must be a positive person who looks for solutions to problems.
• Candidates will need to be organised and able to adapt.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Excellent organisational skills and highly efficient, very good eye for detail.
• Ability to work and task manage under constant pressure.
• Good people skills, a team player but also able to work on their own initiative.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Computer literate – good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Excel, Google Mail/ Drive/ Sheets etc.
• Preferred experience in using Dropbox, Capsule and knowledge of Warehouse Management programs (NFC, RFID, Barcode) and ISO 9001 quality management.
• Knowledge of operating a warehouse advantageous.
