Organic Warehouse Manager Needed!
Wholegood is an organic wholesale business for shops and restaurants around London. The business started in 2007 and the founder is still an active part within the business. We now employ around 40 people including warehouse pickers and packers, drivers and office staff. We are based in a 28,000 sq ft warehouse in Greenford, West London. Our business is growing at a rapid rate and we are looking for an experienced Warehouse Manager to join our team. The Warehouse Manager will work closely with the CEO to support the smooth and efficient running of the day-to-day warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Managing the day to day running of the warehouse with a team of 15 staff
Control of stock management
Oversee and manage Wholegood on a day to day basis ensuring all areas are running smoothly
Implement new working practices
Staff training on procedures and machinery
Ensure all departmental activities meet the organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, legal and environmental policies
Work closely with the Technical Manager to lead the business through accreditations
Liaise with Financial Director and Managing Director to improve on the vision and strategy of the business moving forward
Person Specifications
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 3 years working in a similar role in the FMCG industry with ideally some experience with fresh food.
We are looking for someone who is hands on with a proactive attitude and a decision maker. You will need to be level headed and have the ability to grow and develop large teams.
Essential Skills:
• Good Communication
• Ability to challenge and improve inefficient processes
• Administration and warehouse management experience
• experience in FMCG industry ideally with Fresh Produce experience
• Used to managing teams
• Enthusiastic and ambitious
• Working knowledge of stock management systems
• Ability to plan, organise and delegate
• Strong knowledge of Fresh Produce Industry
• Previous experience with BRC, SALSA
Desirable
• Forklift license
• Drivers license
Salary: dependent on experience
