Warehouse Cargo Agent Required

Main Purpose of the Job (general tasks):

 Daily running of the clerical operation in the facility.
 Maintain customer service levels to a high standard in conjunction with the Lead Agent.
 Support the Lead Agent in all areas of the business.
 To ensure compliance with Regulatory Bodies e.g. HSE, CAA and HMRC/ Border force.

Responsibilities (detailed tasks):

 Liaise with customers in a polite and efficient manner.
 Create and update records of all consignments in the computer systems.
 Interrogate the customer systems to obtain information concerning any consignment.
 Maintain computer database
 Separate and distribute cargo documents according to airline requirements.
 Arrange transfer to coastwise traffic and confirm arrival at destination.
 Liaise and interact with Transport division to ensure all airline customers trucking requirements are satisfied within agreed timeframes.
 Serve Customers collecting cargo including taking payments of charges.
 Conduct tracing activity and any other relevant action following short/over shipments of documents/cargo.
 Operate telephone system in a polite and efficient manner.
 Investigate and report on all queries from customers/Airlines/agents/HMC.
 Liaise with warehouse staff and drivers as appropriate.
 Update filing as necessary
 Responsible for checking Dangerous Goods to IATA / AVI checks.
 Have an understanding of the requirements of Good Distribution Practice (GDP) for pharmaceutical and medicinal products and the rules and regulations that affect our business.
 Be aware of the role of the Responsible Person (RP) within the designated site for the handling of pharmaceutical and medicinal products under GDP processes.
 To undertake any other duties as required by management, commensurate with the grade of the post.
