The role:
We're looking for a super-organised and hands-on Assistant Warehouse Manager to help run our busy warehouse in South Acton W3.
There are two things you need to know about this job:
First - the warehouse is small. Forget miles of racking and acres of space. Every single square inch is packed with components, finished goods or devoted to picking and packing.
To keep a small warehouse organised and running efficiently is a tricky task. Everything has a home and needs to be in that home or you end up with mess and confusion.
Second - we are “process-lite”. There are lots of daily activities that take place without a process being formalised and documented.
This role is focused on implementing new processes and systems to ensure that all inventory is booked in, booked out and we are a model of efficiency.
As it is a small warehouse, there isn’t a large team - you’ll be unloading and booking in as well as updating the inventory systems.
You’ll be reporting to the Head of Ops and working alongside the Production Manager and Picking / Packing Team Leads.
If you are someone who loves to look around, spot an issue, then fix it - ideally with a new process, then you’ll be perfect for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Warehouse Operations - organise the safe and efficient storage and distribution of goods.
Warehouse Health and Safety - ensure Pai has a safe working environment, including ensuring all personnel are trained in H and S.
Warehouse Facilities – ensure the workplace meets the needs of all employees including responsibility for maintenance, cleaning, security and space management.
Manage a 3PL warehouse in Milton Keynes - this is where the bulk of our components are stored until required.
Co-ordinate the warehouse team, including Logistics Administrator, Picking Teams and Warehouse Operatives.
Logistics - provide transportation options and co-ordination for goods in and out.
Use IT systems to manage stock levels, delivery times and transport costs as well as to evaluate performance and quality.
Owning the Goods In process - nothing comes in unless it is booked in.
Control of inventory levels by conducting physical counts; reconciling with ERP.
Maintain the physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; issuing work orders for repair and requisitions for replacement.
Setting and monitoring KPIs
Assisting the daily dispatch operation and deliveries.
Fork Lift Driving - Counter balance licence required.
Heavy lifting (up to 20KG)
Benefits:
£25,000 + Dependent on experience and market rate.
Free Pai products for yourself and discount for friends and family.
