We are currently recruiting for a Warehouse Assistant and Driver to join our small but busy team on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic person with previous food handling or catering stores experience. You will need to have valid UK Drivers Licence as there will be a need to occasionally deliver goods between our sites.
In this role you will be responsible and accountable for the receiving of goods into Tate Catering accurately and with care. You will be based mostly at Tate Modern, with some work undertaken at Tate Britain too. This is a physical role and previous experience with good manual handling techniques would be preferred.
To be successful you will:
* Have great experience as a warehouse or stores assistant. Food and beverages warehousing in particular would be a bonus!
* Hold a clean driver's licence and, for the purposes of our insurance, be over 25 years of age
* Be a positive and proactive member of the team, with a good work ethic
* Show excellent attention to detail and have previous experience of managing stock
* Have excellent numeracy skills
* Be able to work effectively under pressure and unsupervised at times
* Be flexible with your working hours and enjoy our very early starts!
You will work a guaranteed 32 hours a week, and could potentially be offered up to a maximum of 47.5 hours. Most shifts will be six hours long, starting at 5:00 or 6:00 am, and most weeks you may be working 6 days a week including weekends.
