Job Purpose:
The primary purpose of the Warehouse Assistant will to oversee the efficient receipt of goods and the picking of orders. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Assistant will be responsible for assisting the Warehouse Manager in managing all functions of the daily warehouse operations.  Previous experience is an advantage, however full training will be provided.
Person Specification:

Ideal candidates will be efficient, adaptable, have good organisational skills, be able to work efficiently in a team and alone, and work well under pressure. Polish or Romanian speaking will be an advantage, as will be a full UK driving licence and experience of driving a forklift truck.
Job Duties:
The duties of the Warehouse Assistant are varied but include: -

Checking goods in;
Picking goods;
Prepare drivers for dispatch;
Manually unloading and cross-checking pallets of delivered stock;
Identifying and highlighting damaged stock and incorrect deliveries;
Maintaining a clean and tidy warehouse;
Helping to ensuring that all relevant paperwork is completed;
Helping to maintaining standards of health and safety, hygiene and security in the work environment;
Anything else which may arise from time to time.

The Warehouse Assistant should be:-

Organised and have good attention to detail;
Trustworthy and have good written and oral communication skills.
Hours
The Warehouse Assistant will work Monday – Thursday 7am – 3pm.
Extra house (up to 6am – 7pm) during peak times.
