Job Description:
AVE Ltd has a requirement for Warehouse operatives in our warehouse in Greenford.
Key Responsibilities of the role include:
• Loading and unloading product from vehicles and checking for paperwork
• Carry out all tasks in a safe way in line with Health and Safety procedures
• Carry out any other duties within the warehouse as required
• Ensuring equipment and customer stock is handled and looked after
• Ensuring that outgoing goods are loaded correctly with correct labels
• Cleaning of common areas
• Stacking of products in warehouse
• Stock control: Checking goods coming in and going out
• Packaging Item
• Quality control; identifying faults with items/ ensuring all accessories supplied
• Checking condition of goods
• Palletising items
• Performing stock checks
• General maintenance jobs
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
• Good state of physical fitness, stamina and strength is a must
• Previous warehouse experience
• The ability to read, understand and follow directions/instructions
• Have appropriate hand, eye and foot co-ordination to effectively use mechanical handling equipment
• The ability to move product which may require bending, stretching, stooping, steeping, reaching or lifting in line with Health and Safety regulations;
• Good communications skills and Fluent in English
• Forklift skills/ certificate desirable, but not essential
• The ability to follow work procedures and safety rules
• The ability to count accurately and perform simple Maths calculations
• A good eye for detail
• Accuracy at a consistent level
• The ability to work both as an individual and as part of a team
• To be able to achieve daily targets and weekly deadlines under supervision
• To use your initiative
• Friendly, flexible and positive attitude are also essential in this position
