We are looking for friendly and confident volunteers to train as Sales Assistants.
Our shop is a busy successful charity shop in North London, looking after and serving thousands of customers a week. During this time you will be given full training in retail and its a great starting point should you want to follow a career in retail,
Duties include:
1) Greeting customers and helping them with queries
2) Stocking shelves, merchandising them and ordering new items
3) Assisting customers to find the items they are looking for.
4) Keeping the store clean and tidy
5) Giving advice and guidance on product selection.
6) Serving customer, cash handling, and balancing tills.
7) Keeping up to date with store polices , promotions and appeals.
8) POS training and credit card machines
9) Asking for Gift aid sign ups and managing donations over the door.
Skills needed
1) Having a friendly and welcoming nature.
2) Comfortable working with members of the public.
3) Able to work part of a team
4) Must be helpful and polite.
5) Want to learn new skill
6) Want to join a diverse group of people and make new friends.
Shifts can be flexible dependant on your availability and start at 3 hours a week.
This is an ongoing role and we take new volunteers throughout the year. Do something amazing, have fun whilst you learn and help us to end extreme poverty.
